Global Product Manager -- Sensors

Position Summary
As a Global Product Manager for Sensors, you'll guide activities related to technology research, new product development, production, and marketing of Banner's Sensor portfolio. You'll be involved with the development of new sensors, and act as the voice of the customer to the engineering development and technology teams. This role requires a strong sense of ownership to support our existing products, and the ability, creativity, and curiosity to research, identify, and develop new sensors that our customers will want.
This position will be based at our corporate headquarters, located at Highways 169 and 55 in Plymouth.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct market research to generate product concepts and business cases for industrial sensors for the factory automation, logistics, semiconductor, mobile equipment, and related industrial automation markets
- Compare Banner's sensors to competitors' sensor products to identify competitive differences, as well as opportunities to develop differentiated solutions
- Define product requirements, identify competitive advantages, and communicate the value propositions for internal and external customers of new sensors
- Provide leadership to the design, manufacturing, marketing, sales and strategic account teams for new and existing sensors to serve the global automation market
- Provide management with analyses and reports, and respond to questions and requests from management to manage the business effectively
- Synthesize information from engineers, operations, sales, and customers to guide the business and product roadmap

Required
- Minimum of a Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, or Business
Preferred
- Five or more years of experience in product development, product management or technical product marketing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the flexibility to interact routinely with engineering, operations, sales, and customers
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate on major projects representing the voice of the customer to the team members
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Knowledge of industrial sensing technologies and factory automation applications
- Experience specifying or designing equipment using industrial sensors
- Understanding of resource planning tools such as Oracle Enterprise, Salesforce, or WorkFront
- Experience analyzing data related to product sales
