THE ROLE 

The Global PR &Communications Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing public relations strategies to support FinancialForce’s business and branding goals. This role reports to FinancialForce’s Head of Global Comms and works closely across Marketing and with the executive leadership team and other cross functional teams to elevate awareness for the FinancialForce portfolio, create comprehensive global communication strategies and partnerships, and expand relations with press and influencers.

The ideal candidate for this role will excel in the day-to-day execution of driving the communication strategy, bringing creative new ideas and strategies, garnering press coverage, and driving social media.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE 

  • Develops communication strategies in support of the strategic direction and oversee initiatives, content, assets and other materials, and staff priorities. 
  • Develops communication strategies; plans and develops content for complex communications initiatives. 
  • Identifies issues and opportunities, serves as a trusted advisor to the organization on public relations and social, and engages different teams to ensure strategic alignment, clarity, and accuracy of message. 
  • Coordinates final review and approval external communications are released and helps with the creation of internal communications. 
  • Leads project teams of increasing complexity, influences outcomes, and evaluates success as appropriate. 
  • Consults and advises on communications strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Manages and develops relationships with external PR agency/consultants. 
  • Builds relationships with journalists and key influencers, manage media inquiries and identify communications opportunities.
  • Liaises with FinancialForce executive team for major opportunities and announcements, working with Marketing to ensure alignment on marketing materials.
  • Proactively prepares media pitches, development of trend ideas, and social media posts.
  • Partners with internal teams to generate story leads and maintain operational support for media inquiries.
  • Manages and shares press coverage, including reporting.
  • Performs other job-related duties as requested.
  • Executes communications programs in support of events and conferences

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

  • 7- 10 years of relevant work experience in B2B tech that demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of Marketing Communications (AR & PR), preferably in the technology sector
  • A deep sense of accountability and the ability to drive large projects to completion with the urgency and drive for the maximum business impact
  • Show you are connected with current, relevant media relationships, editors, bloggers, industry analysts and thought leaders 
  • Desire and ability to work on a small, nimble team, managing at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Ability to take complex ideas and quantitative data into simple messages and soundbites 
  • Strategic thinking with creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
  • Self-starter, who is highly organized, a clear communicator and excels in a highly collaborative organization.
  • Ability to interface effectively with senior executives and staff at all levels
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage shifting priorities to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong oral, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
