In this role, you will have a unique mastery and be a recognized authority on relevant cross-function process and sales experience knowledge. You will routinely exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving objectives with innovative solutions. Drive experience improvement for Global Sales-focused on the Seller and defines the functional direction for what needs to change.
This role acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function. Works with and manages cross-functional project teams. Develops recommendations for senior management based on insights and strategic growth.
Responsibilities
- Represents Global Sales as an advocate to improve seller experience across HPE
- Facilitates cross functional meetings to gather feedback regarding sales impediments
- Collaborates across businesses, functions, and regions to align to sales, strategy and process
- Manages and facilitates the Sales Advisory Council and Voice of Sales Program
- Responsible for developing and sales feedback programs and communicate findings and action plans
- Understands the "day in the life" of Sellers and maintains a strategic point of view on Seller needs, challenges, tool usage, and process across roles and functions
- Participates and provides guidance to various programs spanning the sales lifecycle
- Engages process owners, capability leads, and data stewards to analyze and assess impacts
- Documents gaps, pain points, and findings to support ongoing and future plan/recommendation development
- Leads business process improvement efforts to identify redundant efforts, conflicting objectives, and potential opportunities
- Advises and influences direction and prioritization based on value
- Develops solution recommendations aligned to sales experience strategy and outcomes
- Presents findings and recommendations to Sales Leaders and Program Managers
About You:
Education and Experience Required:
- 8-12 years total experience leading projects, deals, and company financial improvement initiatives in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or market research OR advanced university degree and 4 yrs. experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objectives
- Extensive knowledge of and ability to manage statistical analysis and financial modeling.
- Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge within at multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence.
- Superior group facilitation, interviewing, and influence skills.
- Excellent project management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple work streams independently.
- Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
- Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team- building, conflict resolution, and management.
- Ability to identify and draw on leading-edge analytical tools and techniques to develop creative approaches and new insights to client issues.
- Ability to independently draft and present client deliverables, recommendations, and communications strategies.
