Team Description:
Neuralink’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) serves as the eyes and ears of the company in the threat assessment realm. Its primary duties include CCTV monitoring, incident response, asset protection, social media monitoring, online investigations, access control management, cyber threat management, guard force supervision and training, and other activities to protect the company. The GSOC works closely with teams across Neuralink to provide a safe working environment to all stakeholders.
The GSOC Lead will support the effective and efficient management of Neuralink’s physical security and open-source intelligence (OSINT) programs. The GSOC Lead will take on tasks related to guard force supervision, OSINT and online investigations, access control management, and incident response. Additionally, the GSOC Lead will design and implement standard operating procedures as needed and work cross-functionally with other teams to provide solutions to intricate problems.
Job Responsibilities and Description:
- Manage staff, vendor, and contractor activities, including those of Neuralink’s contracted uniformed guard force
- Monitor social media platforms and conduct online investigations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop innovative solutions for security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Support development and delivery of security awareness activities.
- Operate and manage access control, CCTV, and mass notification systems, and liaise with vendors for maintenance and future projects.
- Develop, implement, administer, monitor and improve GSOC, policies, procedures and protocols.
- Respond to incidents and provide post-incident support.
- Running and updating Neuralink's mass notification system
Key Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of security and intelligence industry experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A positive attitude and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Exceptional multi-tasking and outside-the-box thinking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Demonstrated experience running a GSOC and using GSOC systems such as Genetec, Gallagher, ONTIC, and Tweetdeck.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance, monitoring of assets, and making rapid and accurate notifications via mass communication tools.
- Familiarity with OSINT, online investigations, and Boolean search techniques.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Office 365).
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate and be able to travel domestically.
- A service-oriented personality, self-motivated, confident, energetic, and flexible.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Systems administrations experience on Linux, macOS, or Windows.
- Understanding of core networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, DNS, DHCP and PXE
