Job Description
The Role:
We have recently won a significant financial services assignment globally, as we undergo major transformation of our global media relationship to ensure our partnership is future ready.
We are looking for Global Marketing Technology Lead who will be a key pioneering leader within the Western Union team and broader Data Center of Excellence, and will be responsible for cultivating and leading Technology And Activation Group (TAAG) related conversations, ensuring the end-to-end delivery of the following media planning, measurement, and activation functions:
- Owning and oversees all TAAG related aspects of client digital relationship in context of campaign execution and reporting for assigned accounts beginning with identification of key opportunities and need, development of project scope and plan, coordination with respective vendors, clients, and internal teams
- Develop, adapt, and deploy new ways of implementing and activating digital media to ensure high standards and reporting requirements are met
- Work with the regional and market leads to ensure ways of working are relevant for client and business needs
- Digital technology & infrastructure recommendation and decision making
- Campaign set up (ensure taxonomy adherence and implementation, ad server/website tagging, etc.) - ensures consistency & adherence to campaign objectives
- Digital media technology operations including but not limiting to ad server and digital platform integration
- Partnering with client and major platforms (Google, Meta, DSPs, etc) to ensure forward looking AdTech implementations are prioritized and implemented by client.
Responsibilities:
Technology Expertise
- Develop and deliver technology roadmap for the integration and intersection of client-side and agency-side technologies/data – inclusive but not limited to major MMPs (including AppsFlyer, Kochava, Firebase, Branch) , Google Marketing Platform (including Campaign Manager, SA 360 and DV360), Adobe Analytics, mParticle
- Work with Global DNA Powerhouse Lead and Data CoE peers to solve client specific business problems with technology solutions - insights, execution, measurement, etc.
- Provide point-of-view and assist in architecting solutions on how to implement under-utilized or new technology product advancements / capabilities including futureproof/cookieless solutions, data clean rooms, server to server connections, SKAN, and Privacy Sandbox, among others.
- Ongoing recommendation on new technologies, features, and vendors to be used to improve campaign performance
Technology Management
- Design and deploy global account structures to ensure proper campaign implementation and reporting
- Responsible for overseeing campaign configurations in ad server(s) consistent with campaign strategy and objectives
- Ensures flawless execution of digital media campaigns across all markets
- Responsible for proactively making recommendations on improving campaign execution based on platform capabilities and functionality
- Develop an automation agenda working with agency internal and external resources
Trafficking & Media Ops Hub
- Governance and compliance, also adherence to best practices and protocols.
- Manage the resources within the Technology & Activation Hub assigned to the client to produce desired performance business outcomes and keep team challenged/motivated
- Develop, adapt and deploy new ways of working for TAAG team to ensure high standards and reporting requirements are met – compliance report can be used.
- Ensure insights and applications derived from each project are infuse into the ongoing operations both for client and within agency - QBR reports for all stakeholders and proposed solution.
- Drive taxonomy compliance and implement strong quality assurance processes and solutions
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have 12+ years’ experience working with and managing large teams who work with ad operations/ trafficking systems, and media technology tools – Global experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree focusing on in Media and Advertising preferred
- Strong command of digital media planning, implementation, optimization, and reporting process and technologies: planning platforms/process, ad servers, bid management, DSPs, research partners, reporting partners, tagging, verification, privacy, content management, site side analytics, audience intelligence, etc.
- Functional understanding of technology platforms, databases, hosting environments, API's, enterprise architecture/platforms, data structure/formats, programming logic, web dev platforms, and technologies
- Extensive experience leading and managing technical projects, including problem solving, strategic technology roadmaps, and implementation
Desired Qualities:
- An excellent communicator - able to write clearly and speak professionally -especially when communicating with individuals where English may not be their first language
- Ability to communicate/translate complex concepts to non-technical audience
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and develop junior colleagues in remote settings
- Strong leadership and management capabilities, both operationally (to ensure that tasks such as reporting & trafficking are completed on time and accurately), as well as strategically (to ensure that guidance is given to all teams on how to enhance their work product, as the technology and activation product matures)
