Job Description
As the Global Supply Manager, you will lead and manage the corporate procurement activities, which include the Procure-to-Pay process of quoting, negotiating and issuing purchase orders for materials, services and capital equipment for our global automotive industry manufacturing plants.
Additionally taking responsibility for sourcing new and current production programs, service levels and managing procurement milestones, as well as engineering changes, capital equipment and the additional activities outlined below. Your role works closely with many departments including Sales, Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Quality and Accounts Payables teams and maintains constant interaction with global suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high quality products at the lowest and best total cost.

Your Role
- Support and coordinate the Strategic Sourcing Process elements as needed and requested for such things as Supplier Survey, Risk Assessment, Supplier Onboarding, Approved Supplier List, Supplier Commercial Agreements, Supplier Scorecards and Supplier Business Reviews.
- Manage and maintain the RFQ Process for Advance and Current production materials in accordance with category strategy.
- Negotiate key sourcing terms (price, payment terms, freight terms, MOQ, lead-time) with suppliers and execute commercial agreements.
- Initiate new supplier and new part number set up in ERP, ensuring timely and accurate data input.
- Issue, maintain and manage supplier blanket POs and support discrete POs for pre-production purchase orders for Prototype, PPAP and production requirements.
- Manage On-Time Delivery KPIs for New Program Milestones for RFQ, PPAP and POs to ensure Procurement and Customer due date timing is achieved.
- Resolve and determine root cause corrective action for 3 Way Match of supplier invoice discrepancies for such things as inaccurate invoice cost, PO cost, invoice adders.
- Compile and execute the supplier scorecard process and support supplier development activities to ensure all KPIs are at a satisfactory rating.
- Lead and manage RFQ roadmap activities for commodity and supplier savings initiatives.
- Manage sourcing process for engineering changes working closely with supplier, sales, engineering, quality and operations departments.
- Develop supplier forecasts for suppliers with long lead time components.
- Identify and implement departmental process improvements.
- Manage, nurture and strengthen internal and supplier relationships.
- Support annual negotiations process in a timely and accurate manner.
Your Background
- 3-5+ years of relevant procurement experience within electronics.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering field desirable.
- Experience in the automotive industry is desirable.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong project management skills preferred.
- Ability to read and understand engineering prints preferred.
