Global Supply Manager, Supply Chain Readiness
Job Description
Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general-purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
We are looking for a junior level Global Supply Manager to manage supply chain readiness to meet our manufacturing goals. You will be the point of contact on supply chain readiness and act as the supply chain program manager to ensure suppliers can meet the delivery target.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a supply chain readiness tool to track all supply chain activities for our robot manufacturing
- Responsible for PO management, including PO release, PO acknowledgement, materials tracking, PO life cycle management
- Resolve any supplier invoicing issue and work closely with internal finance team
- Provide regular materials readiness update to engineering team
- Develop and build internal metrics to track supply chain milestones, maintain internal metrics, internal communication platform
- Plan and execute our materials plan and ensure materials are available and ready for use
- Manage inventory level and ensure there is a steady supply of materials, ensure that material flow smoothly from suppliers to CMs
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and manufacturing, to align sourcing activities with the company's product development and production timelines
- Implement and maintain robust supplier performance metrics
- Assist or lead different sourcing projects across different commodities as needed
Requirements:
- 2-3+ years of experience in supply chain management, or sourcing management
- Hands-on experience in many of the following: manufacturing practices/techniques, CNC Machined parts, sheet metal, stampings, castings, injection molding, vacuum forming, plastic parts, textiles, wire harnesses, PCBA etc.
- Excellent, negotiation and communication skills
- Skilled at establishing strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to travel internationally 25%+
Bonus Qualifications:
- Engineering degree
- Previous work at a startup or on a very lean team
- Robotics industry experience
