As Mars continues to evolve its strategy to attract and select talent for tomorrow, the Global Talent Acquisition Strategy & Deployment Center of Expertise (CoE) is a critical driver for the proactive definition and deployment of the global TA strategy. Purpose of the CoE Is to drive activities that make the most sense to be centralized to increase efficiency and ensure consistency across the Mars TA processes. Additionally, its focus sits in the connection across multiple CoEs within Mars that have a direct interest and impact on TA strategies: current state, those activities are our EI&D pillar, Talent Management & Attraction and Rewards.

As the critical business-facing role in the CoE, the Global TA EI&D Strategy Lead will work in partnership with the Global TA Leadership Team, Segment HR Management Teams, and Mars Equity Inclusion & Diversity (EI&D) Leaders to provide thought leadership on Inclusion & Diversity in Recruitment, assess our current strategy, unlock challenges, and uncover opportunities for Mars TA. Based on this analysis, the job holder will define the EI&D roadmap for strategic initiatives globally, in alignment with our internal & external partners and ensure successful, consistent, and associate centric deployment in all focus markets. In this role, you'll have direct influence on the Inclusion & Diversity agenda of a global business, and impact 140.000 associates and thousands of candidates worldwide - and bring our purpose "Tomorrow starts today" to live though driving us towards an even more diverse and inclusive business.

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Co-creating and deploying the global TA EI&D strategy, in close alignment with the global & regional TA Leadership Teams, segment leadership teams and linked to the Mars People + EI&D strategy
  • Be a key point of contact to the global EI&D team to proactively identify, influence & align strategic priorities for Talent Acquisition globally
  • Assess our internal landscape & benchmark Mars TA externally to identify our unique competitive advantage for Mars and drive fit for purpose TA activities in EI&D
  • Define and drive the TA EI&D roadmap that fulfills segment needs and is aligned to local market requirements whilst ensuring a consistent approach across Mars globally
  • In close connection to the regional TA teams, determine which solutions (process, systems, capabilities) can help drive our most important EI&D priorities across the regions
  • Ensure EI&D is embedded throughout all solutions in the TA Strategy through collaboration on key initiatives and thought partnering to the wider TA community
  • Systems: explore the external systems landscape to improve efficiency & effectiveness of EI&D efforts and present recommendations to the global TA Leadership Team
  • Data & Insights: Use data to demonstrate how EI&D enables business and people strategies; align on key metrics to support measurement of the global TA strategy and implement across all regions aligned to local legal requirements with the help of reporting specialists
  • Partnerships: provide guidance to regions/markets on building strategic partnerships that help Mars access talent from diverse backgrounds (agencies, colleges, universities, etc.)

What are we looking for?

  • A true passion for Equity, Inclusion & Diversity, and a fundamental belief in the value of an inclusive, diverse, and equitable society
  • In depth EI&D professional experience and knowledge, e.g., as a strategic consultant or EI&D Program Lead, ideally in Talent Acquisition/Recruitment
  • Proven track record of setting and deploying EI&D Talent Acquisition strategies, ideally in a matrix organization and with a global scope
  • Is an EI&D thought leader that can activate business ownership and accountability through clear communication, network building, and expert influencing skills
  • Ability to build global strategies that are meaningful to local markets
  • A natural curiosity for data & insights to understand context and make data-based recommendations
  • Comfort In managing stakeholders at all levels, up to Senior Management Teams
  • Collaborative working style, strong listening skills, customer centricity
