About the role
As the Global Tech & Data Client Lead for the Google business, you will play a key role in defining and aligning on strategic global priorities across Google’s marketing programmes. You will partner closely with the Google Tech Program, Product & Engineering leads (and team) to build a strategic roadmap for each of the pillar portfolios for the Tech program. You will also work in collaboration with Regional Practice Leads, to ensure support and proper execution of priority objectives across client portfolios. As a Senior leader working with key stakeholders at Google’s marketing teams, you will directly influence the product portfolio teams in devising and delivering the go-to-market playbooks and best practices in the service of achieving the goals and objectives of all tech & data programs.
Some of the things we’d like you to do:
- Lead the strategic thought-leadership and priority initiatives for data & tech-related work. Lead the relationship and comms with the client stakeholders for each programÂ
- Gain a strategic understanding of the client’s business and KPIs. Understand barriers, and be able to communicate with clients on the latest Essence and GroupM technology and systems to deliver useful insight, working independently to drive solutions.
- Act as the central representative of Google business needs from both the client’s and MFG’s perspective, working with key stakeholders from MFG, Essence, Mediacom. Choreograph & GroupM to inform product visions and the strategy to realize them.Â
- Partner with MFG and GroupM leads to educate clients on new products and offerings that make sense for their business and help drive their sell in and adoption
- Work with Product & Program Management to translate strategy and client needs to product roadmaps across Essence & Google Custom tools, and support them in ensuring the delivery teams have necessary info and contextÂ
- Help inform the appropriate resourcing for all products based on client needs, both in terms of direct resources within Essence Tech as well as the support that is needed from other practices. Balance flexing our team and work as priorities change with holding the client accountable to goals and briefs
- Deliver quarterly, semi-annual, or annual updates on work as it relates to owned workstreams
- Partner with Project Management and global/regional CS & practice leads to ensure MFG (and WPP partners as needed) are armed with the knowledge to successfully use our tools to support the business & their work
- Lead through vision, values, and model leadership behaviors while championing and facilitating change in a positive manner
- Strong and effective communication across all levels; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally
- Focus on priorities and calmly lead the team under pressure to deliver their best work, meet deadlines and deliver results
- Consult on commercial approaches tied to our technologies, helping navigate conversations with client product and operations stakeholders
A bit about yourself:
- An experienced and exceptionally talented individual, you will be passionate about digital media and products and have a desire to be at the cutting edge of advertising and technology
- At least 10+ years experience within a digital- centric role with a track record of leadership and business growthÂ
- Experience working with technical teams, helping them translate requirements into technical solutions
- Strong understanding of the digital landscape, suppliers and technology
- Strong analytical skills. Able to analyze and draw conclusions from data and comfortable presenting quantitative information in a client context
- Strong client management skills, and demonstrated the ability to present your strategic recommendations to external/internal leads
- Eager to learn new concepts and challenge the existing business framework
- Highly developed interpersonal, team building and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated experience in senior stakeholder relationship building and management
- Proven capability in building, developing and mentoring people and teams
- Past experience in managing profitability in the context of agreed scope of work
- Experience in setting work quality standards and consistently delivering against them
