The Opportunity

This role will be based out of San Jose, or it can be a Remote/Hybrid (with monthly travel to our headquarters in San Jose, CA, and to off-site meetings)

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team within Nutanix is a global, high-energy team providing finance partnerships to business leaders across all functions. This is a great opportunity to lead and be a part of a high-impact team in a high-growth, publicly traded, subscription software company approaching $2B in revenue. We provide analysis to support strategic decisions, conduct financial reviews of various business areas and manage financial processes such as planning, forecasting, reporting, and tracking performance.

Your Role:We seek an initiative-taking leader with exceptional analytical skills to join us as a Global FP&A Leader. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, experienced, empathetic, and highly analytical leader. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Drive global financial and business planning on a quarterly, annual, and long-term basis.
• Lead the budgeting process at the corporate and functional levels
• Partner effectively with business leaders to create and manage functional plans and budgets
• Own the forecasting of company performance, including the quarterly landing process
• Deliver financial metrics and insights accurately and on-time to facilitate decision-making
• Use data and analytics effectively to derive actionable business insights across functions
• Drive strategic finance initiatives such as business model evolution, capital structure and more
• Actively support the preparation of earnings material and messaging, partnering with the Investor Relations team
• Own the preparation of Board and Audit Committee materials, partnering with the accounting team
• Lead the global FP&A team of approximately forty people with an ethical, inclusive, and high-performing culture

Meet Rukmini Sivaraman, our CFO at Nutanix.

• Rukmini joined Nutanix in 2017; she brings an exceptional fusion of finance, technology, and people management expertise to our leadership team.
• Before stepping into the CFO role in May 2022, Rukmini served as the Senior VP of FP&A at Nutanix. She has donned several crucial roles during her tenure at Nutanix, including Chief People Officer and Senior Vice President of People and Business Operations, demonstrating an innate ability to manage and lead diverse business verticals.
• A remarkable highlight of her professional journey has been her instrumental role in the transaction in which Nutanix received a $750 million investment from Bain Capital in September 2020. This accomplishment speaks volumes about her strategic acumen and ability to navigate high-stakes negotiations successfully.
• Before Nutanix, Rukmini served for eight years as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in New York, executing strategic transactions, including IPOs, mergers & acquisitions, and debt financing transactions for software companies. This experience, coupled with her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, gave her the foundation to make high-impact decisions in the corporate world.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $ 368000 and $552000[year]; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
