This caregiver will be responsible for the management and utilization of the institutional GME technology resources such as: residency management system (MedHub), GME dashboards (Tableau) and all associated data sources, interfaces and programs. They will work with the software vendor(s) and the GME Community to ensure the highest possible efficiency and utilization of these systems. This caregiver will develop the strategy and approach for initiating, planning, executing and monitoring the assigned projects pertaining to GME technologies and the data associated for our 200 programs. They will also design and develop visuals to showcase GME data for continuous improvement projects

As a GME Data Management Analyst, you will:

- Design, install and maintain relational databases to support project objectives that include a data warehouse or data mart.

- Ensure high levels of data availability through formal systems management including disaster planning, performance tunings and data planning.

- Develop project specific database policies and procedures to ensure integrity and security of data to meet HIPAA and Joint Commission requirements.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Assesses and develops goals for production databases in conjunction with data owners.
  • Creates logical and physical models for new database development and/or changes to existing ones.
  • Responds to and resolve database access and performance issues.
  • Conducts research and makes recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or computer related field required.
  • A Master's degree may offset years of experience requirement

Certifications:

  • Certification in relational database technology is required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Must have the ability to work well with others and be able to express concepts clearly.
  • Data warehouse or data mart implementation experience is required.
  • Systems analysis skills are required to explore design options and present findings.

Work Experience:

  • Five years of experience working as a database analyst or administrator.
  • Additional years of experience may offset educational requirement. Knowledge of application system design and programming techniques is required to be a contributing member of the development team.
  • At least 1 year experience writing in MS .NET programming integration and reporting services.
  • Experience with ETL (extract, translate, load) procedures is essential. MS/SQL or Oracle skills are preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare and electronic medical records is desired.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools and report writing products are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with SQL server, Teradata and Informatica PowerCenter
  • Tableau and MS Power Suite experience
  • MS.NET or SQL programming integration and reporting services

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
