Gogo Summer 2024 Intern: Accounting

As a Gogo Summer 2024 Intern: Accounting, you will have an opportunity to gain hands-on accounting experience and learn about the various aspects of the accounting function at an innovative technology company. The accounting internship provides students with real-world learning opportunities in a fun environment to help build future careers.
This intern will support the revenue/billing process to understand what it means to bill a customer, the general accounting and fixed assets teams during month end close, and the financial reporting organization during the quarterly SEC filing process, along with various special projects as they come up over the summer.

How will you make a difference?

• Assist with month-end close process and perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Review customer accounts and fleet agreements
  • Establish fixed asset cards, running and reconciling depreciation expense
  • Work alongside accounting associates in preparing journal entries
• Support financial reporting with reviews and preparations for quarterly SEC filings
• Help with Accounts Payable transactions including data entry, expense report processing and filing
• Aid the Revenue Operations team with daily activities and data entry - including invoicing, cash receipts and collections
• Take part in cycle counts with Accounting and the Production Operations teams
• Provide internal and external auditors with support for requested audit selections
• Contribute to the preparation of ad hoc and other internal reports
• Other accounting projects as required by the department

Qualifications

• Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
• You must be enrolled in an accredited school
• This is a paid summer internship that requires an average availability of 40 hour per week from May-August

Preferred Skills, Academic Experience and Talents

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Familiarity with Excel and key formulas like vlookup and performing pivot tables
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with customers, vendors, management and other staff members
• Thoroughness with attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Proficient in ten key by touch and PC/keyboarding skills

This paid internship requires an average availability of 40 hours per week during the summer of 2024 in Gogo BA's main office located in Broomfield, CO. Not located in Colorado? No problem! Gogo Business Aviation will provide a $2,500 stipend to assist with your living expenses during your internship. This one-time sign on bonus will be paid in the first payroll following your start date.
