Job Details

Key Tasks:
• Enforce Company Health & Safety policies among direct reports consistently
• Report accidents and near misses promptly to the HS&E Manager
• Ensure department activities comply with company procedures and client instructions
• Provide support, leadership, and problem-solving skills across warehouse functions

• Monitor and optimize profit and costs, focusing on planned and utilized hours through Cognos
• Control weekly charging reports and handle any Ad hoc tasks
• Maintain professional and responsive communication with clients/customers
• Meet or exceed KPI targets and develop plans to achieve them
• Conduct team briefings regularly
• Foster teamwork and continuous improvement throughout the workplace
• Identify training needs for staff and coordinate training with the HR team
• Ensure Supervisors are equipped to address operational issues
• Conduct performance reviews and annual appraisals for direct reports
• Enforce Company Discipline and Grievance Procedure when necessary
• Oversee staff recruitment following company procedures
• Monitor staff appearance and adherence to uniform guidelines
• Ensure H&S guidelines are followed and staff are aware of their responsibilities
• Attend weekly Managers review meetings
• Complete shift handover logs and maintain inter-shift communication
• Perform daily H&S/Housekeeping checks
• Understand GDP and ISO standards
• Maintain Inventory routines and MHE checks
• Address warehouse and product issues promptly
• Investigate and resolve customer service matters within agreed timelines
• Ensure staff are trained on quality requirements
• Monitor product returns and warehouse damages
• Fulfill reasonable requests from Senior Management

• Strong PC skills with Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
• Education to O/GCSE Level Standard or above
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 2 years experience in warehouse or similar environment
• Proficient in GDP standards
• Trained in relevant SOPs within 3 months
