About This Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Government Affairs Intern to join our team in the PrizePicks. The successful candidate will provide support to the Government Affairs Department by assisting in the development and execution of public policy initiatives. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about public policy and looking to gain experience in government affairs. This is a paid internship that will require a commitment of 20–30 hours per week. The position is based in Atlanta and will report to the VP of Government Affairs.

  • Timeframe - 5/29/23 - 8/31/23
  • Location - Hybrid role, HQ located in Atlanta, GA
  • Rate - $18/hr
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments related to DFS industry
  • Conduct research on policy issues related to DFS industry
  • Collaboration with internal teams and project coordination
  • Supporting the Government Affairs team
  • Report out presentation at the conclusion of the internship program
Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Political Science, Public Policy, or Communications
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated interest in public policy and government affairs
Preferred Qualities:
  • Experience working in a government affairs or public policy role
  • Familiarity with the DFS industry
  • Knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes
