GPO Vehicle Systems Communication Architect

Support us in defining Aptiv’s Software Define Vehicle platform where we are following a top-down approach to define the vehicle architecture covering all layers from feature definition over applications down to hardware, considering aspects like functional safety and cyber security. A key aspect to enable this software defined vehicle is the service oriented architecture and how information, data and signals are exchanged, linking sensors, actuators and high performance computing units. For this, our dynamic, international and multi-disciplinary team is searching for a communication network expert helping to define communication architectures with a focus on advanced sub-systems like ADAS and AD.

Your Role

• Support vehicle architecture definition for new future-ready software defined vehicle architectures with a focus on Ethernet communication definition
• Configuration of communication networks and communication definition for Ethernet, CAN and LIN for signal and service based communication
• Discuss with functional and software teams within Aptiv and at the OEM to define the communication architecture and vehicle level communication
• Take functional safety, SOTIF and cyber security requirements into account
• Work in an international environment with a multi-disciplinary agile development team

Your Background

• University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or comparable
• 5+ years of experience in vehicle architecture and vehicle level ethernet communication
• Knowledge of ethernet network configuration, TSN protocols and service based communication
• Experience in handling tools such as Vector PREEvision and Polarion
• Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g. ISO 26262 , SOTIF), automotive software development process, verification and validation
• Excellent communication skills in English are mandatory
