We're looking for an entry-level Market Development Specialist to support our Mid-continent business. This role will involve working with the Regional Market Leads (MLs), Sales Team, and Regional Business Group Leaders (BGLs) in executing strategies and initiatives in support of the Mid-Continent regional business and market plans.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Coordination with MLs, BGLs, and Key Client teams to support client accounts (contract reviews, client initiatives, and pursuit tracking)
• Identify and register for regional activities that will raise visibility regionally for GHD by way of: seminars, conferences, client events, speaking opportunities, sponsorships, and charity-related events (this would include some participation in key seminars/conferences)
• Perform research on procurement opportunities for our key public sector clients
• Regularly update and maintain the Regional Pipeline and ensure that information is accurate and up to date.
• Regularly update our Regional Market Report and Top Pursuits
• Remain abreast of overall proposal and backlog trends, threats, and opportunities within the region.
• Assist the RBDL in supporting the Key Client Relationship Managers with engagement and business development initiatives.
• Perform research and development of strategic development programs and capture plans for target clients and client sector initiatives
• Support the market team in creating client presentations and qualifications around our services and offering

What you will bring to the team (what they possess):

• B.S. Degree in related field (Business, Engineering, Technical, etc.). A combination of education, skills and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Solid communications and organizational skills with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on attention to detail.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills with experience working effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment to identify and capture actions to support marketing efforts.
• Ability to understand our market objectives and review industry research and trends to evaluate opportunities with our key clients.
• Skills working with Microsoft Power BI, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel.
