Graduate Risk Analyst

As a Graduate Risk Analyst, you'll operate at the beating heart of our business: in the dealing room of IMC's Amsterdam office. Your work will support IMC's critical day-to-day risk management activities, including the monitoring and analysis of our markets, as well as our credit, liquidity, and operational risks.
Later, your IMC journey will continue with a three-week Global Trainee Program led by our seasoned engineers and traders. During this traineeship, you'll connect with graduates from all three IMC regions: Europe, the US, and Asia-Pacific. You'll dive deeper into IMC's operations, learn the basics of trading, and explore options theory. Back at your local office, you'll receive ongoing support from a dedicated mentor. Your Core Responsibilities

• Become an expert in options, financial markets, and how IMC applies algorithmic trading as a market maker
• Contribute to the ongoing development of IMC's proprietary risk management systems, together with our Engineers
• Analyse developments in the markets in which we trade and identify risks and opportunities
• Be an integral part of your team by advising on limit requests, monitoring intraday and overnight risks, and discussing key exposures with our trading desks

Your Skills And Experiences

• Recent graduates with up to two years of relevant experience (prior experience in the world of derivatives trading is a plus!)
• An academic background in Mathematics, Physics and/or Econometrics or a related field
• Proficiency in a programming language is preferred (Python, MATLAB or R)
• First-class analytical skills and a desire to solve complicated problems creatively
• A genuine interest in financial markets
