Graduate - Systems Administrator

This is a newly created position based in our Perth HQ, to assist in maintaining and enhancing internal systems whilst ensuring best practices are followed. Additionally, the incumbent will provide comprehensive user support across various system landscapes within the organisation.

This is a fabulous entry role for a recent IT graduate who aims to develop his career. You will be reporting to the Senior Systems Engineer.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Provide first-line support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, workstations and peripherals.
• Perform routine system monitoring and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner and escalating when necessary.
• Assist with the implementation and management of IT security measures to protect company data and systems.
• Support the onboarding process of new employees, including setting up accounts and configuring workstations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
• Participate in the development and enforcement of IT policies and best practices.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
• Some experience through internships in a related field of benefit but not required

Preferred Skills:

• Proactive and self-motivated with a keen interest in IT support and administration
• Basic understanding of networking protocols
• Familiarity with PowerShell
• Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices
• Proactive and solution-oriented
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
• Attention to detail in performing tasks
