This role might be for you if:
You have proven success finding writing securing and managing grants for nonprofits or mission-driven technology companies especially in the education edtech literacy or family support services sectors. You’ve built grant application and management processes from the ground up. You have excellent research and writing skills and you’re confident managing the grant submission process from start to finish. You have a finger on the pulse of grant opportunities and a deep understanding of how to cultivate strong relationships in this space. You understand the literacy crisis and you believe in Kibeam’s potential to tackle this problem head-on.
Responsibilities:

Manage the entire grant fundraising lifecycle from initial prospect research to concept development tracking engagement and reporting.

Research and write compelling grant proposals letters of inquiry appeal letters external fundraising communications reports and other necessary fundraising materials to secure funding from foundations government organizations and other sources.

Design and implement a database for grant prospects deadlines and ongoing status.

Collaborate with the leaders of Business Development Operations Engineering and Product Development teams as well as curriculum and academic research specialists to gather information and ensure accuracy and relevance of proposal content.

Manage ongoing relationships with funders encouraging deeper engagement with Kibeam and securing ongoing financial support.

Develop a plan for targeting new funders and initiating/cultivating those relationships.

Coordinate the acceptance of awarded grants including reviewing terms and conditions and obtaining necessary approvals.

Monitor grant-funded programs to ensure compliance with grant requirements and organizational policies facilitating training and support for staff involved in these programs to meet standards.

Prepare and submit progress and financial reports to funders according to grant requirements.

Collaborate with the VP of Operations and accounting team to track and manage grant budgets ensuring that expenditures align with approved budgets.

Work with finance and program staff to ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting of grant expenditures.

Maintain grant files documentation and records ensuring they are up-to-date and audit-ready.

Conduct post-award grant evaluations and assist in the development of reports on program outcomes and impact.

Stay informed about changes in grant regulations guidelines and best practices.

Ensure Kibeam’s registrations with SAM.gov Research.gov and other sites are active and current.
Requirements:

5 years of experience in grant writing and management ideally for education edtech literacy or family support organizations.

Demonstrated success securing funding from foundations government agencies and corporations.

Prior experience building and overseeing grant management pipelines.

Strong research writing and editing skills with high attention to detail.

Proven skill leveraging AI technologies to support efficient copywriting.

Deep understanding of education/ed-tech space or a willingness to immerse yourself in this space.

Excellent time management skills and confidence working independently.

Resiliency proactive problem-solving skills and a sense of humor.

$70000 - $90000 a year
This a full time remote position with an annual salary of $70000 - $90000 +/- depending on experience.

Location: Kibeam is a virtual distributed team with close continuous connection and support. While we prefer candidates in the same time zone (west coast) we are much more interested in your skills and talents than where you work. You need to be able to work at home and join our full team (1-2 times per year) for in-person planning activities work and fun.
