Grants and Major Gifts Development Manager

You will play a key role in managing relationships with current and prospective funders. You will identify funding opportunities and write grant requests to obtain funding for GreenPath. Day to day, you will conduct outreach to build a network of contacts and manage funding relationships. You will make an impact with this work as the funding will support GreenPath and the mission to help people become financially secure!

- Opportunity to be remote or hybrid based on your location to GreenPath in Farmington Hills, MI
- This is a salaried, direct hire position. You can expect to work eastern time zone business hours.
- We anticipate a salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 annually. GreenPath values fair, equitable experiences for team members. You Have:
- At least 5 years of experience managing and writing grants to successfully secure funding
- Demonstrated the ability to establish and maintain corporate and foundation funding relationships
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
The Day to Day:
Payroll
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for identifying and securing grant funding from government agencies, banks, foundations, companies, and other sources.
- Secure funding through writing and delivering proposals and grant requests for self-identified opportunities and those brought by others within GreenPath.
- Clearly articulate GreenPath's value proposition and the positive impact we deliver.
- Develop and maintain standard proposal components that can quickly be assembled and utilized across multiple opportunities.
- Respond timely and meet deadlines for grant applications.
- Coordinate and communicate clearly with stakeholders, getting appropriate input and sign-off as needed.
- Research, prioritize and identify potential grant funding opportunities, and engage in outreach to them.
- Lead meetings with GreenPath stakeholders to understand the needs of the organization and identify potential funding opportunities that align with our strategic goals.
- Identify funders that would support this work.
- Develop and maintain "Standard Asks" that can be used to generate interest. Communicate GreenPath's value proposition to potential funders.
- Build a network of contacts at potential funders, help establish new funding relationships, and manage relationships with funding partners.
- Outreach may include emails, phone calls, presentations, letters of interest/inquiry, proposals, reports, connecting through LinkedIn, etc.
- Manage funding relationships.
- Manage and cultivate all funding relationships that are not owned by others in the organization, aimed at maximizing grant funding and renewing major gifts.
- Track dates for renewal opportunities, reports needed, etc.
- Communicate periodically with partners and prospects. Ensure that they are aware of GreenPath priorities and capabilities.
- Position GreenPath to receive grant invitations, as appropriate.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders responsible for grant deliverables.
- Complete required grant reporting, utilizing SalesForce to track and provide updates.
- Work with Director of Business Development to align on strategy and forecast revenue.
- Manage and cultivate all funding relationships that are not owned by others in the organization, aimed at maximizing grant funding and renewing major gifts.
- Support Business Development team as needed.
