Job Description:

SUMMARY

Responsible for the design, development, and creation of user-centered designs for Web sites. Designs art and copy layouts for ad order and specs requested.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates and designs advertising art based on client specification
• Designs simple one- and two-color collateral projects
• Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, and arranges layout based upon available space and aesthetic design concepts
• Prints sample of finished layout and presents sample to Creative Director for approval
• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials
• Plans concept by studying information and materials
• Illustrates concept by designing rough layout for approval of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts
• Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; purchases from vendors
• Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art
• Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies
• Performs other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
• Requires 1+ year of graphic design experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Working knowledge of graphic designing software in a MAC environment
• Knowledge of Page Maker, Adobe Illustrator, and/or Adobe Photoshop
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Demonstrated skills in graphic applications, HTML development tools, and other applicable authoring tools and Web production
• Familiar with platform/browser compatibility and basic usability issues
• Ability to understand HTML and possess a working knowledge of Web generators and photographic libraries
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within Black Knight or outside the organization (executives, regulators, clients, etc.)
• Ability to provide information to a wide variety of audiences regardless of topic and effectively deal with issues that are confidential and sensitive in nature
