Graphic Design Intern

We are seeking a graphic designer who has a solid foundation in bringing creative concepts to life. As a Graphic Design Intern, you are inquisitive, collaborative and bring enthusiasm to the team. On the day to day, you will work with our strategic communications team to help build assets such as event collateral, video, digital ads, infographics, presentations and work other special projects.

Responsibilities

• Embed directly in the Office of the CTO, working on projects in close collaboration with our strategic communications team.
• Familiarize yourself with our visual identity guidelines and its various applications across our campaigns, web and promotional work.
• Produce visual work that enhances the look and feel of the Office of the CTO brand.
• Think through visual communication problems, iterate through reasonable solutions, mock them up in detail, review with communications team, and prepare the deliverables for posting.
• Speak and present compellingly about design to stakeholders

Requirements

• Student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Design, or a related field
• Have at least one project that demonstrates your brand design capabilities.
• Strong grasp on design concepts such as typography, color theory, composition, balance, symmetry, and white space.
• Demonstrate design systems thinking and ability to make rational design decisions.
• Understanding of what makes a compelling visual across different media (print vs. web).
• In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; particularly Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• A portfolio of work submitted with your application.
