Graphic Design Specialist

Job Objective:
Participates in the overall design of various newsletters, ads, fliers, reports, and websites, etc. Design visually pleasing layouts and graphics, while maintaining and enhancing company brand standards. Acts as graphic designer for Company publications and Company events. Organizes and maintains company store and marketing closet. Serves as advisor to the branding, presentation and overall look and feel of the Company. Collaborate with various teams to ensure information accuracy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Works at direction of others to design and creates compelling, professional visual designs with the ability to communicate and educate others, while maintaining the Company's brand identity. Designs will portray an innovative, creative message and demonstrate an understanding of design principles and current trends. Integrates design strategies with company goals, priorities, and current market conditions. Takes direction from written and spoken ideas and develops creative ideas. Implements continuous improvement to the overall design, look and feel.
Participates in the overall design and distribution of weekly email newsletters and marketing materials. Collaborates with Underwriting, Product Management, Pricing, and business analysts regarding product enhancements, recent successes, class highlights, coverage highlights, and any other pertinent information requiring communication to agents. Assembles and distributes all emails and marketing materials to home office staff and agents. Maintains and updates email addresses for accuracy of delivery. Follows the calendar to meet scheduling deadlines. Adds any new or changed material to historical catalogue of materials in current use as well as those archived for audit, regulatory, and good company practices purposes.
Following direction, designs and develops other materials as needed such as updating videos, webinars, training materials, internal communications, external publications, company history, materials needed for Company functions, etc. Helps create creative element for national marketing meeting and, at manager direction, creates presentations for manager meetings. Collaborates with Underwriting, Product Management, Pricing, Marketing, Executives, Human Resources, and business analysts to understand content and marketing direction.
Participates in the updates and maintenance of Company website and creation of social media/digital advertising graphics. Works to execute any changes by internal parties, including gathering and updating new content from various areas of the company. Updates information on the websites and obtains approval before publishing
May communicate with merchandising vendors to find branded items for marketing professionals, agents, industry events, company events, etc. Selects and orders items for consideration. Coordinates with merchandising vendor. Maintains log of current inventory
Executes all graphic design requests (logo use, ad hoc presentation documents, advertisement photos/graphics, software UI design, etc.) ensuring that brand standards are met. Maintains brand standard collateral (branding guide, style sheets) for entire organization and ensures the use of any brand logos, colors, formatting are consistently adhered to by both internal and external parties. Assists with development of any internal items that require branding, including skin designs for various internal company programs.
Maintains marketing booths to be used at agency conventions, industry events, etc. Works with others to execute designs for pop-up displays, table dressing, and other branded items designed to catch the eye. Oversees distribution of company branded convention materials in a turnkey style.
Additional Duties:
Performs other duties as assigned or as situation dictates such as participating in the testing and validation processes for software changes, etc.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (*minimum qualifications needed to perform essential job functions)
Required Knowledge:
*Bachelor degree in business, graphic design or marketing related field or equivalent experience
*Experience in Adobe Programs (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
*Personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel & Powerpoint)
*0-2 years related work experience
*Graphic design principles and experience
*Ability to create web documents & email using design software and code in HTML for delivery
Preferred Knowledge:
Web Design experience
Experience with Adobe Premiere, AfterEffects or other Creative Suite products is a bonus
Experience working with website CMS (Wordpress preferred)
Insurance industry and marketing techniques
Skills:

*Ability to think creatively and outside of the box
*Work well with multiple projects and changing deadlines
*Be able to prioritize efficiently while communicating priority levels to parties involved
