Job Summary
Graphic Design Specialist for in-house marketing department with heavy emphasis on branding, logos, contest promotion, corporate collateral design and print/digital magazine/newsletter publishing. Submit for review tightly conceptual and finished creative designs; and follow through with revisions, print production and delivery for primarily print deliverables, presentations, web graphics and email marketing as assigned by Director, Creative Services. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.

Duties/Responsibilities

- Report to Director, Creative Services throughout creative process of design, layout and production for internal clients
- Provide the creative design of marketing pieces including branding, client's theme and message, distinct piece designs, photo retouching and correction etc.
- Adhere to company branding, art and formatting standards when producing communications pieces in both print and digital environments for a wide range of clients and audiences
- Collaborate with graphic design team members to conceptualize and execute creative solutions that can be translated across various media platforms as needed
- Ensure both pre and post production quality checks are completed
- When needed, work efficiently with vendors on the development of needed client materials; review and approve vendor submission and invoices
Qualifications
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or related field
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in an in-house corporate creative department, advertising/marketing/printing company or design firm
- Strong knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud Applications (emphasis on InDesign, Acrobat DC, Photoshop and Illustrator; experience with XD, Premier Pro and Dreamweaver are a plus)
- Working knowledge of Apple Keynote, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word; emphasis on PowerPoint templating and presentation design)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong creative, organizational, problem solving and time-management skills
- Ability to manage production of print deliverables from conception to completion utilizing strong knowledge and practical experience in print production processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects with occasional direction and work well with tight deadlines and changing priorities in a team environment.
- Proactively seek work with an ability to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision
- Must be able to apply style guides creatively while upholding brand identity for AmeriLife as well as multiple internal clients
- Possess strong conceptual skills, high-level sense of design and layout, and able to offer a variety of design solutions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
