About the Role:
As a member of the Editorial team, you will spend each day immersed in the private markets, aiming to help our customers be better investors, advisors, and market participants. The work you will do plays a direct role in the evolution of the industry! Â

The Graphic Designer role is ideal for someone interested in advancing their creative skillset, perfecting the skill of translating data and analysis into impactful visual content, further developing design communication skills, and expanding their knowledge of editorial design best practices. Utilizing PitchBook’s rich, expansive, and ever-evolving brand, this role offers the opportunity to develop engaging designs that are viewed by millions of clients each week. The Graphic Designer will focus on many different aspects of graphic design, including illustrations, photo manipulation, editorial-style layout, data graphics, presentations, and production for our diverse library of research reports. Â
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Act a steward of PitchBook’s identity; successfully work within brand guidelines while capitalizing on the full breadth of creative possibilitiesÂ
- Demonstrate a variety of aesthetic approaches across audiences and genres for custom projectsÂ
- Demonstrate technical command of tools and capacity to handle multiple projects across editorial (e.g. report production, newsletter illustrations, data visualizations, and design requests for internal teams and clients)Â
- Contribute to general improvement across report templates and processes with a focus on efficienciesÂ
- Enhance data visualization efforts by developing fresh ideas that bring PitchBook’s interactive data to lifeÂ
- Participate in recurring internal design meetings with effective, constructive feedback on a variety of projectsÂ
- Work through creative challenges in collaboration with other designersÂ
- Demonstrate successful cross-collaboration with other teams and departments; help guide creative strategiesÂ
- Innovate new types of products and projects in collaboration with research analysts and team leadsÂ
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of private markets to help elevate informational storytellingÂ
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviorsÂ
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requestedÂ
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of experience in producing long-form content with demonstrated abilities in editorial branding
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; specifically, InDesign, Illustrator, and PhotoshopÂ
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and learn new systems and software easilyÂ
- Experience in producing long-form content with demonstrated abilities in editorial brandingÂ
- Experience with data-driven storytelling through design, familiarity with financial industry a plusÂ
- Web design knowledge or experience with Figma is a plusÂ
- Strong written and verbal communicatorÂ
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation
- Annual base salary: $68,500-72,500
- Â Target annual bonus percentage: 5%
*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.Â
Working Conditions:
We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.
The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
