Intern: Graphic Designer

Job Summary

Our Graphic Designer intern will play a key role in storytelling through design and creation of assets across digital, social, and paid channels, as well as marketing and event collateral helping to raise awareness of Aerospike and engage prospective customers.  You will work closely with our marketing team translating their requirements into high-quality design assets that align with our brand guideline across various mediums.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop concepts and design solutions that align with the brand guidelines and overall marketing objectives.
  • Produce creative assets, including infographics, social media graphics, paid media ads, website visuals, presentations, email templates, iconography, booth graphics, banners, short videos and other promotional materials.
  • Create eye-catching visuals that engage and resonate with our target audience, enhancing the overall brand experience.
  • Become an expert source in Aerospike’s visual identity guidelines to uphold the look and feel of the brand and ensure all designs are visually appealing, consistent, and on-brand.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
  • Oversee external design agency as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with design trends and industry best practices to continually improve and elevate our visual content.


Skills

  • Currently studying Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • A portfolio of work  in graphic design, either through internships, freelance work, or personal projects.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or other design software (e.g. Figma).
  • Strong understanding of design principles, layout, typography, and color theory.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow brand guidelines while still bringing creativity to design projects.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS for designing web graphics.
  • Familiarity with motion graphics and video editing software.

Compensation Range: $19/hour- $22/hour
