Graphic Designer
Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Graphic Designer is responsible for contributing to concept development and to the application of brand concepts into effective visual communications for various media. The ideal candidate will bring a high level of attention to detail, be pro-active, have a strong work ethic, possess good people skills, and be aligned with our company's core values. Also necessary is the ability to multi-task under deadlines and a creative eye for design, composition, typography, and photo retouching. You will be involved in conceptualizing and executing new creative for email, digital ads, web assets, social media, print collateral, and working within existing branded templates. This position is hybrid, working out of the Burr Ridge, IL offices.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design attractive graphics and impactful layouts for campaigns, print and digital, premiums, and environmental graphics
- Work cohesively with the Creative Supervisor, marketing department, vendors, and other internal channels
- Maintain all brand assets to achieve consistent brand expression across all channels such as web, print, email, and social media
- Assist on digital campaigns
- Maintain Digital Asset Management system
- Conduct comparative design research and collect samples to inspire projects
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
- 3+ years of experience working within a corporate or agency setting
- Solid understanding of design principles, including layout, color theory, typography, and composition.
- Digital portfolio showcasing style across both print and digital
- Advanced experience with: Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop; MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; WordPress; and Trello
- High level of attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Experience managing pre-press files set up and coordinating print production
- A strategic thinker with strong verbal and written communication skills
- A working knowledge of Premier Pro, After Effects, video editing, Google Analytics, SharePoint, email design, or email service providers such as Constant Contact, Hub spot, and MS Dynamics is a plus.
