Job Description
The Visual/Graphic Designer will work closely with the marketing team to turn marketing objectives into compelling deliverables across platforms including digital, print, motion graphics and animation, web, email, and social media. As a Visual Designer in the Brand and Design group within Marketing, this is your chance to push your creative skills and utilize your technical skills to create awareness not only building our brand, but also programs and materials that support our marketing objectives and digital forward approach. The Visual Designer will need to be adept at taking projects from research and concept through to the final deliverable. You will get to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment and have the opportunity to advance the company's look and feel.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Contribute to the creative process through collaboration in a team environmentÂ
- Work closely with content writers, digital marketers, and accounts managers to create solutions that reflect our audiences and deliver
- Contribute to the initial conceptual and ideation process
- Understand brand and design best practices and strategies
- Concept, plan, interpret, design, and create the visual style and overall layout for marketing and brand materials
- Apply a digital-forward approach to creating and delivering marketing messages
- Work collaboratively with team members and other groups, especially Marketing and Sales
- Be an effective problem solver and translate ideas into creative solutions that are functional and visually appealing
- Maintain and contribute to Q2’s brand and graphic standardsÂ
- Present creative concepts to cross-functional team members at all levels
- Concept, design and produce a variety of marketing materials including ads, brochures, newsletters, tradeshow graphics, product documentation, PowerPoint presentations, social media graphics, and overall brand and digital experiences
- Create documentation based off existing templates
REQUIREMENTS:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in (relevant degree) and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro)
- Experience creating motion graphics, storyboards, and animations
- Adept at telling stories through visuals/design
- Ability to work and thrive in a collaborative environment
- Killer creativity and design skills
- Intense curiosity and strong critical thinking skills
- Social media experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create and bring ideas to fruition
- Dedicated to excellence, while also being detail-oriented and possess the ability to convey a thought, idea and deliver on the goals/objective
- Microsoft PowerPoint skills and presentation design
- Experience working with print vendors and creating print files a plus
- Project and time management skills
- Portfolio of sample work (completed projects within multiple mediums)
