Graphic Designer

Gas South, the Southeast’s largest natural gas provider, is looking for a Graphic Designer to join our marketing team. Reporting to the Director of Brand and Communications, you will work primarily with partners across the Marketing, Customer Experience, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Community , Sales, and Leadership teams to create branded elements for both residential and business customers.  

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize compelling assets that meet brand marketing and communications objectives across print, social, digital, event signage, premiums, and other channels
• Evaluate creative requests to ensure clarity and alignment on direction before work begins
• Collaborate with copywriter to develop concepts that meet creative objectives
• Combine an understanding of design systems, grids, color, typography and photography to deliver clear and powerful visual messages
• Plan, prioritize and produce a high volume of work, taking ownership from start to finish
• Meet deadlines and proactively communicate status of projects to partners and leaders
• Adhere to our brand guidelines and act as a brand steward, suggesting relevant updates and reviewing visual assets for compliance
• Ensure proper sign off process; proofread and verify content and specs for all projects assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Graphic Design, Web Design, Fine Arts, or Marketing-related field)
• 3experience in a design (and/or creative marketing) role
• Professional experience producing marketing materials (photography, videos, print ads, direct mail, OOH, social media, PowerPoint presentations, flyers, emails, landing pages, etc.)
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
• Team player, with flexibility and ability to effectively communicate with internal departments, external partners and stakeholders
• Strong design sensibility, excellent time management skills, and a flexible self-starter mentality
• Experience with Asana or related project management software a plus
