Athena is looking for a Designer to join our Creative Agency. As a Designer, you are passionate about enhancing the visual image and design direction of our clients. You excel at conceptualizing and visualizing messages or ideas and illustrating them so others can easily interpret the desired results. You demonstrate a strong business acumen while collaborating with internal and external teams to plan, organize, execute and assess the effectiveness of projects. You focus on ensuring projects are completed on time through coordination of the design production schedule.

Requirements
Essential Functions
- Have expert-level proficiency with PowerPoint, the Adobe Creative Suite, namely InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects
- Design corporate presentations, templates, playbooks, social media assets, sub-brand logos, brochures, reports and other business assets for our clients
- Be able to use critical thinking in evaluating content and design flow to help inform the story our clients aim to tell
- Translate direction from written or verbal briefs, storyboards, and outlines, when available, or provide a thoughtful perspective when guidance is otherwise ambiguous
- Consider all client needs when preparing files for final delivery (e.g., technical requirements for presentation, step-by-step instructions for animations, packaged custom fonts, etc.)
- Deliver high-quality work on time and within deadlines while handling multiple projects
- Work with other graphic designer(s) to make sure company image is staying consistent and current
- Proven work experience with a portfolio of prior graphic design or presentation design work
- Strong corporate aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts and layouts
- Strong communicator with the ability to prioritize different simultaneous tasks
- Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design
- Continues to deepen job-specific knowledge through ongoing research & relevant trainings, sharing learnings with the team about identified trends, products, and services.
- Adheres to all applicable confidentiality and data security guidelines and ensures the appropriate handling of sensitive information.
- Attends relevant staff meetings to promote communication and execution of goals.

- Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Arts or related field
- At least three years of related experience required
