Graphic Designer

The Opportunity

Graphic Designers are curious, strategic, technically advanced, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative. The Graphic Designer is an excellent communicator who is skilled at building relationships across teams in a remote environment. This position will be tasked with creating Berkadia branded marketing and event materials as part of our Corporate Marketing department. 

Responsibilities  

Essential Duties (Primary Responsibilities) include the following.  

• Design and update marketing materials including brochures, one-sheeters, advertisements, presentations, research reports, digital, and social media posts, etc.  
• Design graphics and infographics including charts, graphs, numerical data, maps, etc. 
• Utilize and create templates for quick-turn production design projects. 
• Present design work and effectively communicate design strategy to the Creative Director, Senior Graphic Designers, and internal business partners. Collect feedback and make updates as needed. 
• Uphold Berkadia’s brand standards and create innovative designs within those standards. 
• Select and utilize photography, typography, and other design elements effectively. 
• Provide the highest level of quality and accuracy by thoroughly reviewing all materials. 
• Collaborate with other team members and departments in a remote/hybrid environment. 
• Stay updated on the latest design industry trends. 
• Other duties as assigned. 

What you will need to be successful 

• Advanced skills in design programs including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and PowerPoint. Video editing skills in Premier and After Effects is a plus. 
• Design portfolio that showcases craftsmanship in layout, typography, and branding. 
• Experience in marketing and event design in a range of formats. 
• Strong work ethic and ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects. 
• Effective collaborator with strong communication skills. 
• Adept at creating files for print and digital distribution. 
• Excellent business computer skills using Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
• Experience using project management software like Monday.com, WorkFront, Function Fox, etc.
