Graphic Designer

We’re looking for a creative, experienced graphic designer to help make the Soofa brand graphics and animations. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for helping to develop, and support a successful brand strategy that will build a high level awareness of the Soofa Sign and Media Platform presence in the market, drive inbound and conversion of new business, and nurture and grow existing business.

You will bring a breadth of experience to our marketing team and often wear a lot of hats in this role. Our ideal candidates are receptive to growth and change whilst demonstrating expertise, professionalism and passion for marketing within a dynamic start-up culture.

Requirements

• Study design briefs, determine requirements, and prioritize project based on bandwidth and team needs
• Schedule projects for completion and define budget constraints
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas back to the team for feedback rounds and approval
• Amend designs after feedback rounds and re-distribute to team for continued collaboration
• Gain understanding of Soofa sign and screen dimensions in order to create vinyl and digital mock-ups for cities and advertisers
• Develop illustrations, logos, and other designs using software or by hand
• Work with marketing, sales, customer success, and operation teams to create final designs that meet our customers’ needs
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand - both for our customers and for Soofa
• Propose new design ideas for internal sales and marketing collateral, providing regular updates to documents as needed
• Pitch in on company projects that require a design touch, such as decks, presentations, company culture materials, social media images, etc.
• Set expectations about design capabilities and time constraints with internal and external stakeholders
• Act as a brand steward, ensuring all messaging conforms to branding guidelines, legal requirements and remains consistent across the other lines of business.

Requirements

• Proven graphic designing experience
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator,, Photoshop)
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
