Graphic Designer
Job Description
Lockton is currently seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual who is experienced in production design to join our Houston Creative Services Team!
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of high-quality, creative deliverables for internal Associates following established design best practices and proofreading procedures
- Provide proofreading services to IPS team members on a rotating basis
- Communicate project status and deadlines to supervisor(s) to ensure personal and department goals are met or exceeded
- Attend team and department meetings
- Review and update department Graphics Procedure Manual as assigned
- Complete special projects as assigned and serve as a resource to team members for creative ideas and technical software issues or questions
- Additional responsibilities as requested by leadership
The most qualified candidate will possess the following:
- Degree in graphic arts or other equivalent education and/or work experience
- In-depth knowledge of InDesign software
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Word and Excel
- High-level verbal and written communication skills including grammatical expertise (sentence structure, punctuation, paragraph formation, grammar, and proofreading skills)
- Effective multi-tasking skills with the ability to go from high-level creative projects to required daily tasks
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines
- Ability to be present in the physical office 2-3 days per week (hybrid scheduling)
- Availability to work short-notice overtime hours on an as-needed basis
