Role Description:
A graphic designer creates visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. They develop the overall layout and production design for advertisements, brochures, magazines, and corporate reports.
Position responsibilities:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
- Plans concept by studying information and materials.
- Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
- Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
- Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
- Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Help growing the tools, processes, and culture of our growing design team
- Opportunity to think innovatively on new ideas to draw audience's attention; we want to be unique and relatable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree inDesign
- Strong computer skills, including direct experience using Adobe Creative Suite
- Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript
- 2+ years in professional commercial design environment plus a digital portfolio
- Experience in a branding and/or digital design role. You are someone who can create brand-centric assets for all projects
- Adaptive design eye and skill
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients
- Self motivated constantly looks for inspiration and designs trends
- Ability to think creatively and critically, and understand how to balance business objectives with user needs
- Excited about design trends and new technologies
