Graphic Designer (Hybrid) – Cosmetic Packaging Location:New York, NY 10001 (Hybrid) Duration:6+ Months (Contract) Pay Rate:$45-52/hour About the Role: We are seeking acreative and detail-oriented Graphic Designerto join our team, supporting a leading cosmetic brand. You will conceptualize, design, and execute packaging graphics while ensuring strict adherence to brand guidelines and aesthetic standards. Key Responsibilities: • Conceptualization & Design:Develop innovative graphic design concepts from ideation through final production for cosmetic packaging. • Brand Consistency:Ensure all designs adhere to Maybelline brand guidelines and maintain a consistent, elevated aesthetic. • Collaboration:Partner closely with marketing managers, packaging development, and production teams to deliver seamless results. • Project Management:Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines with high-quality output. • Feedback Integration:Seek and incorporate feedback from stakeholders, iterating on designs while maintaining creative integrity. • Trend Awareness:Stay current with design trends, software, and technologies to enhance visual storytelling. • Vendor Liaison:Collaborate with external vendors (renderers, comp houses) for efficient production of design materials. Qualifications: • Education:Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field. • Experience:Professional graphic design experience, preferably within the beauty industry or in packaging design. • Portfolio:Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills, creativity, aesthetics, and problem-solving approach. • Technical Skills: • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign essential). • Proficiency in Rhino and Keyshot is a plus. • Core Skills: • Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout. • Strong conceptual and creative thinking. • Exceptional attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to clearly articulate design concepts. • Proactive, organized, and adaptable with a passion for the beauty industry. • Quick learner and team player.
