The Smith + Nephew US Advanced Wound Management organization is expanding the role that digital marketing will play in our overall customer engagement strategy. To meet increasing customer requirement for remote engagement, our digital messaging and tools will play an increasingly important role in supporting the customer across our portfolio of pharmaceutical, medical device, and supplies solutions.

The Graphic Designer, Digital & CRM role will be responsible for executing professionally designed creative projects and solutions including digital advertising, CRM email campaigns, video, PowerPoint, HTML, social media and the digital customer journey message. They will take projects through conception, design, revisions and to final production, as well as versioning and archiving. This role will have a strong emphasis on CRM and social media campaign development, storytelling, and being the architect for digital marketing content bundles.

This person will consider design from different angles and offers up a variety of creative solutions with a business-outcomes focused approach. Designer will be flexible in their willingness to diversify skillsets across a broad range of projects. They will help support sales collateral, advertisements, promotional items, tradeshow graphics, sales support materials, print production work as needed.

The designer delivers on different design approaches based on client needs and supports the Marketing Communications Account Manager in creating comprehensive asset toolboxes for key brands' digital customer journeys. Must be able to apply the Smith & Nephew style guide creatively while upholding the overall brand identity. Manages own workload by prioritizing according to business focus and deadlines. Works with internal clients to ensure projects run smoothly and on time. This role serves as a US "brand champion" to ensure proper use of corporate brand guidelines and templates. The designer interacts closely with Global Brand and collaborates on projects where applicable to bring a cohesive digital eco-system.

Has a solid understanding of storytelling and translates this as well as product attributes (feature/benefits) into effective creative. Builds all creative with the target customer in mind. The designer will be highly organized and able to own and manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently with a strong emphasis on solid file management, version control and efficiency. Works with, and receives direction from senior designers, copywriters, marcom account managers and other stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Digital advertising, email campaigns, video, PowerPoint, HTML, and social media 65%

  • Serves as backup for other personnel in department, handling requests and troubleshooting problem situations. 10%

COMPETENCIES:

  • Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat, Premiere Pro, After Effects. Social media. Familiarity with PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
  • A varied understanding of different design techniques and methodologies (graphics, video, animation)
  • In-depth knowledge of file preparation for print and digital; file organization and archiving
  • Creative conceptual thinker, with strong understanding of marketing communications
  • Strong organizational and solid project management skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Experience project managing production and production pipelines
  • Ability to work in a dynamic matrix organization
  • High interpersonal skills, goal oriented, hands-on, flexible, creative
  • Must be comfortable working in a creative team environment that values big ideas as well as constructive feedback
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques as well as working with internal stakeholders to understand functional requirements and recommend creative solutions

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years in graphic design, content design and development
  • Strong experience designing CRM email and social media content strategies
  • Agency or internal agency experience preferred
  • Experience in healthcare or B2B regulated industry preferred

PORTFOLIO:

  • Uploading your design portfolio to your application is required

EDUCATION:

  • B.S. or B.A. in Graphic Design and Advertising or equivalent
