Graphic Designer and Video Editor
About the Job:
We are looking for a creative team player to join our Brand & Creative Team as a Graphic Designer and Video Editor. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 - 7 years (at least two full years in one role) of graphic design experience working at a customer-centric company. Preferably, you have an understanding and knowledge of how to visualize innovative travel products. This is an amazing opportunity to have a major impact on the evolution of Blade’s brand, while building an extensive amount of creative work. The expectation for this role is to be in the office 5 days a week to work collaboratively with the rest of the marketing and cross functional teams.his role is neither remote nor hybrid.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Creating and editing content for static and motion design needs at the Company for a range of marketing deliverables including web/mobile, TV, social, banner ads, OOH, e-mail, etc.
- Revising content based on (iterative) internal (and partner) feedback/direction
- Leveraging the Blade brand to best execute new route launches, activations, and partner promotions, while visually educating new fliers on the travel landscape via Blade
- Interpreting creative briefs to develop and produce creative concepts through to execution
- Collaborating with a dedicated team from concept development to delivery of the final output(s)
- Presenting concepts (schematics, wireframes and storyboards) and final deliverables to internal teams, and to partner representatives as needed, and occasionally participating in pitches for existing/new partner needs
- Gaining an in-depth knowledge of our products and visualizing their unique features and benefits to engage customers, often across different channels
- Ideating creative solutions for everything from campaign-level work to day-to-day activations
- Growing and evolving the creative that shapes our organic and paid marketing channels
- Gathering original creative inspiration, and using it to help evolve the brand and our voice
- A/B testing work with our Data & Analytics team
- Managing and maintaining archived graphic files, including logos, product photography and videography, design files, etc.
- Working with the Brand team to brainstorm and create compelling new imagery, layouts, and templates for Blade while working within the brand guidelines.
- Meeting all deadlines while staying within specified budgets and managing against delays
What we’ll love about you:
- You have an in-depth knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) and familiarity with digital file formats (.tif, .gif, .eps, .pdf, .jpg) and comprehensive knowledge of graphic design principles and production methods for digital and print.
- Your proficiency in web UI/UX standards, including knowledge of web design and prototyping tools (Figma, InVision, Sketch, Adobe XD) will be a huge a plus, as well as a proficiency with HTML and creating digital assets for the web
- You have solid experience in digital advertising and videography, photography, and color theory.
- You are organized and highly detail-oriented through all phases of the creative process.
- You have experience working with creative briefs to produce creative concepts and ideas into social, online and video media, and print assets, for multiple channels.
- Your portfolio shows that you are an innovative design problem solver, capable of providing timely turn-around of projects and good creative instincts.
- You are able to manage multiple simultaneous tasks and tight deadlines efficiently.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high-volume workload (often requiring short turnaround times)
- You aspire to continually raise the bar on content that connects with the desired audience and drives action
- You are a seasoned designer who is tolerant of heavy editing suggestions of your work
- Â You have a strong work ethic and are excited to work collaboratively with the rest of the team from the office 5 days a week (this is non-negotiable).Â
