Graphic Designer II

Our Graphic Designer II is a highly creative individual who takes conceptual ideas and creates visual representations for digital and print media. They have expert knowledge of current design software and are skilled with every step of the design process from concept to the final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams, the Graphic Designer II takes input and directions and converts them into designs that engage, inform, and connect. They have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, with the ability to vary style and layouts depending on the project.

What you will do here:

Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various computer software to visualize, develop and produce innovative, quality graphic designs that meet business goals

Obtain input from management, ensuring designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the credit union appropriately

Work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects with marketing team, meeting deadlines, managing tasks within project management software and following best practices to keep files up to date on share drives.

Examine existing processes, identifying flaws, and creating solutions to improve design capabilities and improve efficiencies

Perform other job-related duties as assigned

What you will need:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Art, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

3+ years of professional experience preferably with a marketing or creative agency required.

5+ years of academic or professional experience with design software (Adobe CC) including InDesign, XD, Illustrator and Photoshop required.

Proven design experience with a strong portfolio of work required.

Experience with brand development and strongly branded organizations preferred.

Academic or professional experience with Microsoft Office required.

Strong understanding of typography and the latest design trends required.

Excellent communication and presentation skills required.

Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment required.

Desire to continue to grow skill set with ongoing education and training preferred.

Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript preferred.

Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software preferred.
