Job Summary:

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating designs that meet brand standards for our website and social media. This Graphic Designer will have a highly creative mindset that challenges the status quo and marketing trends to cut through a highly saturated market and deliver top performing creative. They will work independently and collaboratively with Brand Team and other Marketing Teams to further marketing goals.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Develop graphics, assets and campaigns for our rapidly growing brand, coordinating across social, digital and print - all to the required creative standards, specifications and deadlines
  • Pitch concepts internally to the team, bring new and fresh ideas to the table
  • Translate marketing strategy into persuasive ads, campaigns, and storytelling
  • Work closely with photographers, video editors, developers and content coordinators to execute brand vision
  • Adopt and inform new processes between creative and external stakeholders
  • Contribute towards a rapidly accelerating team by collaborating with and providing feedback on the design team’s work
  • Collaborate and coordinate with external teams within and beyond Marketing, such as project management, product operations, and other stakeholders
  • Work in person at our corporate offices in Los Angeles 2-3 days per week

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required: 

  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects
  • Strong branding experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to articulate design choices
  • Ability to work under pressure without compromising performance or accuracy in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Understand how to adapt creative concepts to market trends and changing ad landscape
  • Ability to take direction, follow instructions and be open to constructive feedback
  • Thoughtful and self-reflective, willingness to learn
  • Team-player, hard-working, organized, and goal-oriented
  • Have a thorough understanding of photography, typography and printing techniques
  • Experience handling multiple, concurrent projects with a collaborative approach
  • Dynamic portfolio that demonstrates a wide range of ability
  • Solid understanding and application of color theory
  • Ability to acknowledge customer journey and user experience by designing for accessibility

Preferred:

  • 2-3 years at an in-house brand or agency
  • Interesting in Home Decor or Interior Design
  • Copywriting experience
  • Basic understanding of performance metrics
  • Personally motivated art
  • Simple illustration work
  • Experience with project management software (eg. Asana)
