Job Description:
As a Graphics Prepress Specialist at Astound, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality and
accuracy of graphics used to elevate our client's brand experiences. You will be responsible for preparing,
reviewing, and optimizing graphic files for large format printing and ensuring that our clients' visions are brought
to life flawlessly. This role requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to
manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepress Preparation: Prepare and preflight graphic files for large format print production, ensuring they meet
quality and technical specifications.
Quality Control:
Conduct thorough quality checks on graphics, fonts, colors, and layout to ensure accuracy and consistency.
File Optimization:
Optimize graphic files for efficient printing, minimizing production errors and reducing costs.
Communication:
Collaborate closely with designers, production teams, and clients to clarify project requirements and resolve any
prepress issues.
Project Management:
Manage and prioritize multiple projects concurrently, adhering to strict deadlines and production schedules.
Technical Expertise:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies related to prepress and printing to improve processes and
output quality.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and troubleshoot any prepress issues, such as image resolution, color profiles, or font embedding.
Document and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of prepress specifications and project files for future reference.
Qualifications:
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), prepress software, and printing
technologies.
Excellent Organizational Skills:
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Attention to Detail:
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in graphic materials.
Problem Solving:
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve prepress issues and suggest best practices.
Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively with designers, production teams, and clients.
Communication:
Effective communication skills to convey prepress requirements and project status.
Experience:
Previous experience in a prepress or graphic production role is preferred.
Adaptability:
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Graphic Design:
Ability to build production files from client assets while adhering to brand guidelines and current design trends.
