Graphics & Simulation Software Engineer

Looking to join a company that's truly out of this world? We're currently seeking a Graphics & Simulation Software Engineer to join our team. You'll be contributing to the development of core infrastructure and simulation tools that enable our autonomous technologies, including precision landing and hazard detection on the Moon. Our ideal candidate has experience with GPU programming, computer graphics techniques, and proficiency in communication and technical writing.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Developing high fidelity software simulations for computer vision and space robotics applications

Working closely with NASA experts, university groups, and commercial clients

Presenting results to clients and the research community

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with GPU compute and graphics APIs: CUDA, OpenGL, Vulkan, or DirectX

Knowledge of shading languages: HLSL or GLSL

Strong programming skills in C++ or C

Proficiency in computer graphics techniques: physically-based rendering, ray tracing and rasterization

Experience with software design, implementation, testing, and performance tuning

Ability to work autonomously, collaborate, learn on the fly, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment

B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, Robotics, or a related field

NICE TO HAVES

Experience with geographic information systems (GIS), map projections, and digital elevation models

Experience with robotics simulation environments, 3D game engines

Experience with software unit testing

Experience with camera and lens modeling, computer vision, photometry, and light transport

Salary Range: $85,000- $140,000

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and the candidates professional experience. Base salary is just one component of our client's competitive total rewards strategy.
