Gresham - Head of Operations

The Head of Operations, Greshman job manages a team of experienced professionals that provide investment operational expertise and consultation to aligned investments and sectors. This job leads the execution of trading initiatives ensuring clear targets, goals and expectations are established, communicated and executed throughout trading operations as well as interacts with sales and trading teams to facilitate and understand new and existing products.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Supervises the development of financial operations, commodity initiatives and trading activities within the organization.
• Directs and monitors payments and receipts, invoices, and daily reconciliation of customer account balances for physical transactions covering a wide range of commodity business and products.
• Approves trading and investment opportunities to build new trading accounts and allocate investments, working closely with the sales and trading teams to facilitate and understand new and existing products within comodities.
• Coordinates and ensures teams and overall organization complies with all laws, regulations and agreements.
• Responsible for onboarding of business into trading platforms and initiatives across sectors, products, commodities, and provides trade desk contract support.
• Works with functional leadership teams to ensure that the transition to new programs and implemented operational solutions is smooth and effective.
• Manages performance of the direct reports through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of trading and investment operation projects.

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years experience in operational derivatives

Preferred:

• 7+ years experience in operational derivatives
• University Degree
• Exposure to CRV (Gresham's OMS), Advent Geneva (Gresham's portfolio accounting system) and/or HedgeTech
• Tremendous experience with Ready or other EMS systems
• Highly skilled at using Bloomberg data
• Highly proficient in excel and able to read python to understand the scripts. Be conversant in SQL
• Effectively take a high-level role in the due diligence meetings and have the ability to walk through trade flow diagrams as well as the enterprise software used in the operation system

Base Pay Range: $181,900/yr. - $247,500/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
