The Company
Cypress Creek Renewables (CCR) is a leading renewables Independent Power Producer. We develop, finance, own and operate utility-scale and distributed solar and storage projects across the country. Today we own 2GW of solar and through our O&M Services business, we operate 4GW of solar projects, the fourth largest provider in the US.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Community Solar Delivery and Operations, the Grid Integration Manager will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical interconnection support throughout the development and execution phases of our Community Solar projects. Key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with the main project stakeholders to understand the overall pipeline goals across the various ISOs and Utilities
- Managing 3rd party engineering contactors to produce the required interconnection deliverables on time for all projects in the pipeline and in construction.
- Bringing expertise and knowledge of Interconnection Agreements, Interconnection Study documents, and other relevant information to ensure projects are designed and specified to the utility’s requirements.
- Coordinating with ISOs, utilities, and external contractors to identify and interpret engineering requirements.
- Identifying value engineering opportunities and make recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining internal processes to document engineering milestones and implementation plans for projects in execution phase.
- Reviewing internal and externally prepared data for accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Monitoring project commissioning to ensure all engineering design requirements are implemented.
- Identifying FERC, NERC, IEEE, and other regulatory requirements for individual projects.
- Acting as a technical resource for engineering topics throughout project execution phase.
- Attend in-person and remote meetings with interconnecting utilities as needed for support.
- Support development of project technical scope and CCR engineering standards and technical specifications.
- Review owner-furnished equipment technical submittals to ensure compliance with project technical requirements and contractual obligations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or other related engineering discipline from an accredited university. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of interconnection experience
- Prior experience working with multiple ISOs and utilities and knowing of project execution procedures.
- Familiarity with FERC, NERC, IEEE, and other industry standards.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of team.
Project management skills, including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines
