As a Sr Program Manager, you will be driving the business operations at Sierra Space through your skills and expertise. You will be responsible for all programmatic aspects of your assigned projects with specifically focused responsibility for customer relationship, cost, schedule and technical planning, tracking and reporting, technical execution, and ensuring overall program performance objectives are achieved. You will be crucial in business resource planning/tracking in coordination with other corporate entities and responsible to formulate a team that can fulfill program requirements. You will be the driver in ensuring program issues and problems are identified, tracked, and resolved and the success of Sierra Space's program. You will be responsible for program risk management and ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, tracked, and managed. You'll be responsible for conducting routine meetings, interfacing on project/program status, developing proposals, researching/fact-finding, coordinating audits, and negotiating with project/program stakeholders to ensure enterprise initiatives meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints. You'll support the program director and Business Operations in fulfilling their responsibilities.

  • The Ground Operations Integration Manager is a Senior Project Management role that is responsible for integrating and managing the end-to-end execution of the integrated ground operations processing flow for each unique mission of all Sierra Space platforms & spacecraft consisting of the following-Horizontal Facility vehicle processing schedules, to include clearly defining and integrating hazardous operations, launch vehicle provider's hardware deliveries, resources requirements for all Sierra Space products and platforms which occur in parallel
  • Schedules that manage Integrated Test and Check out events with the flight hardware, to ensure milestones requiring external stakeholder evaluation/involvement are met per schedule
  • The launch vehicle provider's development and test schedule, to ensure key milestone completion (i.e. critical path schedule) and manage risk to target launch date
  • The schedules for all the planned critical moves of flight hardware across Kennedy Space Center/Cape Canaveral facilities, and cargo loading operations, which include:
  • Cargo Module load, mate and transport to Payload Integration Facility
  • Spacecraft transportation and operations at Payload Integration Facility, to include hazardous operations/ spacecraft fuel loading
  • Cargo load at Payload Integration Facility, and late cargo load at launch pad
  • The Launch Scrub ground operations re-config schedule for 24-hr re-attempt (prior to Cryo Load) and subsequent launch scrub operational schedules if scrub declared post Cryo Loading (de tanking scrub turnaround)
  • The Landing and Recovery Schedules which include
  • Ground Ops teams/ runway preps for arrival
  • Post landing hazardous operations/vehicle safing
  • Cargo de-stow operations
  • Spacecraft transportation from runway to horizontal processing facility
  • The mission turnaround schedule for each mission
  • Spacecraft refurb/O&M
  • R&R schedules
  • Responsible for ensuring all processing flows are progressing as planned and actively monitoring risks to schedule to ensure Eastern Range schedule and availability is met

The Ground Operations Integration Manager (Flow Manager) will be a part of the mission, launch and recovery operations team, located at Kennedy Space Center. They will report to the Director of Operations- Launch and Recovery and will work with all Ground operations managers to roll up an end-to-end flow that will assist in characterizing and mitigating risk from beginning to end to ensure we can meet our selected launch date and subsequently ensure readiness for landing and recovery operations post flight.
Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or technical field)
  • 5 years of experience in aerospace or defense industries in project management
  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Experience managing projects and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Project
  • Proven leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
  • Mastery of the ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations
  • Proven experience and skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplines.
  • Strong analytical background with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes. Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes.

Preferred:
  • PMI Certification, (PMP, PGMP, etc)

Estimated Salary Range: 144,936 - 199,287
