Group Account Supervisor

Job Summary
The Group Account Supervisor will be responsible for client services and organic growth for their business unit at ClinicalMind (CM). They will not necessarily focus on one primary therapeutic area. The position involves the overall supervision of your accounts, management of the account team working on your business, assisting clients with strategic needs and the overall financial management of your business. This role also requires oversight of annual brand planning with clients and new business pitches.Â
This individual will be expected to partner with other key functional areas as needed, including Technology, Corporate Operations, Meeting Planning, Finance, the CEO, and all members of the senior management team. The Group Account Supervisor will, with the support and help of the other members of the senior management team develop, implement, and manage strategic initiatives, new products, and technologies for the business, and will support the growth and success of ClinicalMind.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Client management
- Understand each client’s business, priorities, challenges, and therapeutic landscape to serve as a business partner, provide value, identify opportunities, and create solutions.
- Drive organic growth by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities. Stay abreast of clients' therapeutic landscapes and make recommendations.
- Manage annual brand planning for assigned clients
- Lead development of assigned RFP/pitches in collaboration with Business Development and Scientific Services.
- Financial
- Forecast development and maintenance on a weekly basis.
- Oversee/manage monthly accruals (client and internal) with Account Directors, operations, and finance.
- Development and review of SOWs, budgets, and change orders.
- Project Management
- Oversight of project hours related to client budget, scope change, profitability, and staffing.
- Identify areas of concern and develop solutions with cross-functional stakeholders and/or clients.
- Hands-on-management of and/or assistance with tactical deliverables to ensure timely completion and delivery to clients/HCPs, as needed.
- Operations
- Mentorship and personnel management of Account Directors including career development, goal-setting, performance reviews, timesheets, expense reports, and vacation.
- Staffing and resource management for assigned teams, clients, and projects
- Working knowledge of the rules and regulations of the OIG, AMA, PhRMA and other regulatory agencies guidelines and policies in relation to supported promotional and educational activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 9+ years of progressive medical communications and/or healthcare account management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role as the business lead. Has extensive experience with business planning and execution for Commercial and Medical Affairs clients in several therapeutic areas. Market Access experience is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple clients simultaneously; think strategically and grow business, and lead the team in exceptional project execution.
- At least 2 years managing a team of 3+ staff. Experienced leading a team in a decentralized environment.
- Strong leadership experience, adept at interacting with senior-level clients, and able to think on the spot and make sound business recommendations.
- Consulting skills and proven solution development expertise. Ability to read clients’ feedback to identify opportunities for brand/account growth and execution improvement.
- Product launch experience is strongly preferred.
- Must be extremely organized and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- The ideal candidate will be an intelligent, quick, forward-looking and strategic thinker who is team-oriented, collegial, proactive and predisposed to act as a confidential partner to the senior management team.
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, strong presentation skills.

Work environment
- Normal office environment. Moderate to extensive travel is required. May require regular evening and weekend work.
- May require up to 20% travel to projects and client meetings.
