Job Description

The Finance team at Lendi Group comprises Financial Reporting, Financial Operations and Business Partnering professionals with a common mission to build the leading modern finance team. We go beyond spreadsheets and PowerPoint by leveraging best-in-class technology to deliver fact-based insights and decision support to influence business strategy.

As a Group Accountant, you will be part of the Financial Reporting Team to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and process improvement initiatives. From completing the month-end close processes to delivering the statutory reporting obligations, you'll play a pivotal part in upholding financial integrity and supporting stakeholders across the business.

What you will get to be part of:

• Work as a team to complete the group-wide month-end close process, conducting detailed P&L review across all our brands and performing variance analysis
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet substantiation process
• Deliver statutory and regulatory reporting obligations and undertake tax compliance work
• Contribute to maintaining the integrity and financial control of our general ledger
• Partner with our financial operations and business partnering teams to support stakeholders as a cohesive finance function 
• Identify opportunities focused on process improvement, leveraging technology to improve reporting
• Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements and the annual audit
• Provide support on ad-hoc reporting or projects
• Be a role model of best practices in risk culture in all our processes

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Financial Accountant in a similar commercial reporting role, including exposure to direct and indirect tax compliance
• An Accounting degree with CA or CPA or working towards this qualification 
• Knowledge of AASB requirements and experience in completing BAS, FBT and Income tax
• Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis, with meticulous attention to detail
• Analytical, with a strong eye for detail and a high level of financial acumen to achieve accurate and timely reporting of group results
• Ability to work autonomously and seek technical support and guidance from others
• Excellent communication and collaborative working style with partner business stakeholders, cross-functional finance colleagues and management
• Commitment to deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers
• Effective time management, ability to meet deadlines and operate under time pressure in a dynamic environment
• Financial Services experience is preferred but not required
