DNV Energy Systems is seeking to hire a dynamic, curious, and proactive Group Administrator to provide business support to hydrogen and low carbon fuel and assist with key administrative and commercial tasks to support technical employees working on active consulting engagements on hydrogen, low carbon fuels, and other renewable and sustainable energy projects. This position will also provide administrative support to remote employees within the service area.
The first preference for this role is the Seattle, WA, and the Houston, TX offices.
What You'll Do
- General Group Administration (40%) The Administrator ensures the successful, safe, and enjoyable working conditions for the group members in the Seattle office, as well as liaises with other offices and internal DNV support functions. This means no two days will be the same, and many tasks will require a self-starter attitude. General duties may include the following activities:
- General duties: incoming mail/phone communications, greeting visitors/courier services, office-related shipping support, monitoring shipping area, building key cards, alarm system management, phone system management, providing support to remote employees, etc.
- Support onboarding: Lead administrative aspects of onboarding new employees in conjunction with HR and IT support services, including desk setup, access setup, equipment ordering, etc.
- Support team with clerical/administrative tasks: file expense reports; support with filing, scanning, copying, and editing documents; coordinate transit passes with local transit agency; and local events planning, including birthday/anniversary parties and the office holiday party
- Clerical Business and Market Support (30%). At DNV, our customers' success is paramount to everything we do. In this role, you will be expected to support the clerical and administrative efforts associated with customers, proposals, and other business strategy. The Office Administrator will help with customer and market information gathering and analysis as directed by senior members of the commercial and delivery teams. Activities may include:
- Data inputs to support lead and opportunity management and contracting through DNV's internal tools, including SalesForce
- Help with proposal support, including the document setup based on RFP information, pulling together CVs and bios, and other general coordinating activities.
- Support with online research regarding general market information, customer strategies, contact information, and other related tasks
- Support with preparing PowerPoint slides, Excel spreadsheets, or MS Word memos on market and technical topics
- Assist with Commercial Tasks (30%). Occasionally, the opportunity may arise to support commercial work activities related to hydrogen and low-carbon fuels. This may include contributing to research or reports, obtaining data from external providers, supporting documentation distribution, and/or coordinating deliverable schedules
Position Qualifications
What is Required
- Associate's Degree relevant to business administration, environmental science, sustainability, engineering technology, or any other relevant field
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Passion for supporting the energy transition through clean energy development, sustainability mindsets, and a focus on energy equity
- Professional demeanor, outgoing and helpful personality, ability to anticipate needs, and desire to try many new things
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
