Group Build Specialist

Grow your career as a Group Build Specialist within ALG Vacations, one of our 14 industry-leading brands. In this role you will focus on providing support to the Groups Sales and Service Teams and plays an important role in helping to provide exceptional customer service across all ALG Brands. The Group Operation Build Team is responsible to accurately executing group dashboards, group add ons, system troubleshooting and investigating rate discrepancies. Members will work closely and align with their team lead and manager to seek out system efficiencies and possibilities for enhancement.

A successful Group Build Specialist will:

• Building and Testing of Group Dashboards:
• Build and test contracted group inventory in the group system
• Build and test pricing components for contracted groups. Nets, Retails and Markups.
• Ensure new groups are documented correctly for tracking within Salesforce
• Take pride and strive for excellence in responding same day to all communication
• Pro-actively work with leaders and team members to ensure dashboards and service requests are completed within 24-42hrs.
• Dashboard Maintenance:
• Update group inventory and pricing as needed
• Cancelled inventory in a timely manner once communicated by sales and service teams
• Troubleshot pricing discrepancies and booking errors
• Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a manager:
• Attend training sessions to build or maintain product knowledge, including processes and terms and conditions
• Consistently provide feedback and ideas to further streamline our process
• Be flexible in supporting different projects throughout the day as priorities change

A successful Group Build Specialist will have:

• Degree from a 2 year college or university is preferred
• Knowledge of systems such as Microsoft Office and other office procedures and terminology
• Customer Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
• Travel background a plus
• Proficient in both Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Strong ability to efficiently navigate through various computer screens and programs
• Salesforce and DocuSign experience a plus
• The Groups Build Team requires someone that can excel in an environment that is both back stage and front stage and has a passion for a high-level of customer service. Ability to multi-task and stay organized
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong relationships both internally and externally
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
• Collaborate with colleagues and staff to drive results and promote a team oriented environment
• Strong written and phone skills
• Demonstrate commitment to the use of methods and procedures to standardize and streamline operations, identify and implement cost-savings and process improvements
