Position Overview

Group Creative Directors (GCD) provide creative leadership on agency accounts and ensure that clients are best represented in the marketplace. They contribute to the maintenance and growth of a strong, mutually profitable client/agency relationship. GCD's are proactive thinkers who create opportunities within brands and for individuals. They train creative personnel, maintain important trends in advertising and relay key information to creative staff. GCD's are phenomenal collaborators, working closely with their teams to drive creative vision and set a benchmark for creative excellence across their brands.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a group of creative teams and their brands
  • Inspire, motivate, and direct multiple teams
  • Shape creative vision
  • Leads new business pitches and wins
  • Supervise team members, providing feedback, guidance, and development opportunities
  • Build, mentor, and hire talent to amplify a culture of inclusion and belonging
  • Grow client business with account partners
  • Generate and establish long term platforms for brands
  • Oversee productions and ensure output is at its highest level
  • Find creative opportunities across all accounts
  • Partner with business leads to develop briefs and appropriate time management for projects
  • Package showcase pieces for agency credentials and awards

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree required.
  • 10+ years of agency or marketing experience

  • Experience working with internal and external disciplines to bolster creative output
  • Experience managing/supervising Creative talent
  • Exceptional strategic thinking with experience crafting creative strategies
  • Industry awarded work preferred
  • Other duties as assigned*

The salary range for this position is $230,000 to $280,000.  Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience and qualifications.
