Group Creative Director, Earned Media
The Group Creative Director, Earned Media will develop, guide and champion all creative work and conceptual ideas, choreographed to drive earned media and grab consumer attention. You’ll work with planners, advanced analytics and media strategists to push boundaries and find new approaches for the clients’ businesses. You’ll partner with CX to lead the account and build strong relationships with both marketing and PR clients.
This ideal candidate will:
- Display an industry-leading understanding and application of the principles that make innovative and effective communications, and the expertise needed to drive culture-based, earned-first storytelling across platforms.
- Understand what it takes to truly earn media coverage, social conversation and action.
- Possess deep experience and understanding of the earned model. Your job is to connect the client to the cultural zeitgeist. To take a rich world of references – from politics, culture, technology and business – into consideration.
- Deliver recommendations, not just ideas. Recommendations built on experience and understanding of the brand, earned media targets and ultimate customer audience, and the context in which the brand operates.
- Excel at persuasively presenting ideas to clients, in a way that meaningfully integrates feedback, protects the earned power of the idea and champions the idea to actualization.
- Ensure the execution of high-quality work that is on time, on budget and uses appropriate technology.
- Work as a collaborative and inspiring leader within the Impact team and understand how to coach and guide ideas throughout the process. Contribute the culture of the Impact team and invest your time in helping create an environment where ideas and people thrive.
- Have 10-15 years of relevant experience, including experience in an agency setting.Â
NYC Salary range: $185,000 - $255,000
Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
